It seems impossible that we are in the month of December already. My goals for this month are simply to exercise more consistently than I have been the past few months, and to not use “the holidays” as an excuse to slack off even more than I already do.
I love seeing before-and-after transformation photos like this one. It gives me hope that, with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. If they can do it, so can I.

I’m definitely pleased with that run – 10 seconds better than the last time! Not so much with the weigh-in, however. I know that my diet needs some work, obviously. A major culprit lately has been that I’ve been “drinking my calories” a bit too much.
Now, let me clarify: I do NOT drink alcohol – I’ve never touched it and never will. I don’t even really like soda, and haven’t had any in a very long time. My weakness is sugary, coffee-based drinks. We’re coming out of a particularly brutal Pumpkin Spice Latte season, and we’re already headlong into Peppermint Mocha territory. So yeah…I need to work on making better choices. I really enjoy a good cup of black coffee, as well – need to go for that more often. 🙂
